From Our President: You are no doubt aware that Eugene is a special place, full of creative, passionate, and community-minded people. By simply beginning to read this letter, you have already demonstrated an interest in seeing our community’s civic life sustained and improved. We at City Club of Eugene are quite grateful for your interest – and optimistic that with your support, we will navigate today’s uncertain landscape of nonprofit community-building, together. City Club of Eugene continues to be an essential voice, producing approximately 40 programs annually, from debates to educational initiatives to discussions of youth homelessness, statewide legislation, food insecurity, mental health concerns, and much more. Our impact resonates across multiple counties, reaching 6,000 individuals weekly. We can be dynamically responsive in our coverage, deep in our informativeness, and sustainable in our mission because of members like you. As we continue to proudly present the only weekly schedule amongst Oregon’s City Clubs, we do so on a limited budget and with immense effort from volunteers and members. As President, I am keenly aware of how much we have accomplished together, and also how we must not only discuss Eugene’s issues, but also drive positive solutions and meaningful change. As a naturalized American who has lived in Eugene since moving from Japan at age 2, it has been illuminating for me to discover just how deeply the City Club’s efforts have been intertwined with the many beloved community institutions that make living in Eugene so inviting and so special. Our Summer of Support campaign is the most significant opportunity to fortify the vital programs we offer. Your support will make a tangible difference in ways that include the following:$100 dollars can pay for audio production/podcasting for one program.$250 dollars provides the opportunity to bring City Club “on the road” to other places in our community. $1,000 dollars covers all costs for one program. Giving is easy! You can donate securely online through our website at cityclubofeugene.org/donate. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at cityclubofeugene@gmail.com. Your contribution matters more than ever. It is our responsibility to ensure that future generations will benefit from an ever-curious and well-informed Eugene community. Thank you for your support! Warm regards, ![]() |
