Topic:
It is trite but true to say, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” These two programs will prove the truth of the saying, over and over again. Certain pictures are burned into your memory: the young woman with her arms outstretched, leaning over a body at Kent State; the people clinging to the plane leaving Afghanistan or to the helicopter leaving Saigon. There are pictures from around Eugene that have the same impact. Two photojournalists will share their work and their stories from their years of experience and then take your questions.
On Monday, April 28, attend a program with Chris Pietsch, director of photography for Gannett newspapers in Oregon and longtime photojournalist for The Register-Guard. He follows a program on Monday, April 21, with international photojournalist and professor Dan Morrison. Both programs occur at 6:30 p.m. at Marquis Eugene Assisted Living, 555 Club Road in Eugene. Sorry, no broadcast will be available.
