Meggie was born and raised in the Willamette Valley and has lived in Eugene on-and-off for over 15 years. Since 2017, she’s been working at Lane Community College as the Open Educational Resources (OER) Librarian, where she leads efforts towards improving textbook affordability for students and increasing access to information through open copyright licensing. She has recently stepped into additional leadership roles as a council co-chair in the college’s governance system and as a delegate representing LCC faculty at the Oregon Education Association’s representative assembly. For fun, Meggie enjoys all things food related: growing edible plants, cooking, and trying new restaurants and food carts. She’s also a proud spectator of women’s sports.
