Kelly Johnson is an arts and culture advocate driven by a passion for fostering creativity, connection, and community. With over a decade of nonprofit experience, Kelly has dedicated her career to advancing the arts and culture sector. As the Executive Director of the Arts & Business Alliance of Eugene since 2018, Kelly spearheads initiatives to promote collaboration between the arts and business sectors, building a stronger cultural ecosystem. Prior to her role at ABAE, Kelly spent seven years in the development department at ShelterCare, honing her skills in fundraising and community engagement.
In addition to her leadership at ABAE, Kelly is deeply involved in the Eugene community through various volunteer and board positions. She serves on boards such as the Oregon Bach Festival, Eugene Public Library, and City of Eugene Cultural Services Advisory Committee.
Kelly’s commitment to community engagement extends beyond the arts sector. She is a graduate of Leadership Eugene-Springfield program and was a member of Toastmasters Downtown Public Speakers, demonstrating her dedication to developing leadership skills and building meaningful relationships within the community.
When she’s not enjoying Eugene’s spectacular arts and culture scene, you can find Kelly curled up with a good book, taking a long walk around town, or cheering in the stands at a Ducks football game.
