Autobiographical Statement from Sally Bell

Sally Bell is a passionate Oregonian. While not exactly native, her ancestors traveled the Oregon Trail and she feels most at home here in the Pacific Northwest. She spent the early part of her career teaching outdoors and working as an instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School leading remote expeditions in Canada and South America.

She worked in Portland for 10 years with mission-driven companies involved in sustainability, primarily doing business development while teaching at Presidio Graduate School. She is the founder of the mentoring program at University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business where she spent nearly eight years as the Senior Associate Director of Industry Relations and faculty advisor for the Women in Business Club.

She is now the Executive Vice President for the Technology Association of Oregon and local Executive Director for the Southern Willamette Valley. She also serves on the board for Connected Lane County, a local nonprofit focused on youth and STEM programs for underserved youth. She is a connector and convener at heart and in practice. Sally loves spending time on the local trails and ski mountains with her husband and two energetic boys.
