Friday Forums

As a courtesy to program participants the distribution of handouts or leaflets is allowed with prior permission of the program coordinator, presenters may distribute materials related to their topic on the tables inside the meeting room. Print materials produced by CCE member organizations and related to the program topic may be placed on tables in the reception area of the venue.

City Club members are free; the public is welcome to attend for $5.

Lunch will be served at the weekly meeting, the menu is included in the meeting information on the Events page. Costs differ for members and guests: Members are charged $15 for the meal; guests pay $17. The weekly meetings also offer a cookie and coffee/tea option. Members pay $5; guests pay $7. Decaffeinated coffee is available, and herbal teas are offered. For other events will provide menu/price information if food is available.

Our Friday events are generally held at the UO Academic Extension Baker Center building at 975 High St #110, Eugene (corner of 10th and High St.).

Event parking is available in the lot directly adjacent to the Baker Center’s east wall. Parking is limited. If the lot is full private parking is available across the street in a lot, cash only.

Yes, an EmX stop is located on the corner of 10th and High; next to the Academic Extension Baker Center building. The central bus station is located 4 blocks to the west.


  • KLCC-FM provides the audio version of recent meetings on their website: click here to go to KLCC/City Club webpage for the list of available programs. KLCC broadcasts our most current meetings on Mondays, 6:30 p.m., 89.7 FM.
  • Video of past meetings is available at the Eugene Public Library. You can also view selected programs on our Youtube channel. Click here to visit it!
  • Community Television of Lane County shows the most current meeting Monday through Friday at noon (Channel 29 on Comcast Cable). Weekend viewing times vary. Click here to check the schedule.

Program Committee

The Program Committee is the engine of City Club programming, all of our Friday Forum ideas originate and are developed in this group.

Yes. The public is always welcome to attend meetings and suggest topics in person.

Yes. The City Club of Eugene’s Program Committee is always open to ideas for program topics.  If you would like to suggest a topic, please use the contact form, or submit your idea in person during one of our Program Committee meetings.

Include the following information:
– Title
– Brief description of program
– Suggested speaker(s)
– Suggested date(s)
– Which segment of the Eugene and Lane County community would be best served by the program
– Why you believe it is important to the community
– Are you able to help coordinate the event?

Your idea will be placed on the Program Committee agenda for an upcoming meeting.  Scheduled programs are discussed and prioritized based upon depth of interest in the community, frequency of the topic or related topics, availability of dates and speakers and other such scheduling factors.  Proposals are voted upon by the full committee prior to scheduling, etc

The Program Committee meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 12 noon; the location is in the Saul Room, on the 3rd floor, of the Atrium Building (99 W 10th Ave, Eugene). Schedule changes might occur, please check with the City Club’s event calendar to confirm the date and time before showing up in person.
